I was hiding, and it hurt my business

When I turned 40, I realized that I hadn’t really had my picture taken since I got married at age 22!

You see, I was hiding (usually behind the camera!).
I figured people would only want to see pictures of my clients, not of me. But once I recognized that I needed to be visible, I made the decision to show up online.
Opening up to my audience allowed them to get to know me.

If you've been in business for very long, you've likely heard of the Know-Like-Trust Factor. The concept is that the more people get to know you, the more they'll start to like you. And once they like you, they're one step closer to trusting you.
And people buy from those they know, like, and trust.
Guess what happened once I started showing online?

More of my audience decided to buy from me!
It was a far cry from my time spent in "witness protection," trying to keep people from knowing what I do and who I help.

So try allowing yourself to share who you are. Your audience will be glad you did!
If you're looking for ways to connect with your social media audience, I'm working on something that will help you do exactly that.
Stay tuned!
